Fish & Bone is great. Vote for them...Kathy has been in the pet industry for so many years and her first store, Fetch, in Portland was a long held routine for Lucky (yup, THAT long ago) and I. When she passed, Bella took over the tradition. Then Kathy opened up Fish & Bone IN Boston. When Bell wasn't getting into scraps with other dogs (RIP) she was digging for treats or finagling butt scratches here. Support small local business. Support single women business owners & entrepreneurs. It's a tough economy for these businesses, I know personally. Vote for Kathy and Fish & Bone, but also..BUY from her. Thanks!

From VINTAGE modern that looks as good as new to NEW modern that looks cool enough to be vintage, the Anderson clan at Abodeon are my go to for well crafted authentic pieces that help define my personal style. The value is in knowing you have a piece of furniture that will likely out live you and all of the trends, even if MCM is a current trend. Some of us were here first. ;) They have some pieces out of the average person's budget range and a surprising amount of pieces that shocked me at the ticket price as I gladly hand over my debit card, fearing a misprinted ticket that they might soon discover and mark up!

2 words... Ana Sortun. That's all. (ok, that she lives on an organic farm that her husband Chris Kurth named after their daughter- Siena Farms and an amazing bakery named Sofra and a cookbook that kills me. Yeah, I love her. A James Beard Winner. Hecks yeah! Best original female chef in Boston area. Her take on middle eastern spices is divine.) Nom I want her muhummara dip.
