When he first came on the air, I thought he was a crazy-person. Then he started combing his hair. In the almost decade since, he has proven to be the most intellignet, knowledgeable, likeable Meteorologist in New England. Always has a fun diatribe and interesting photos or info on the atmosphere or space. More than just weather, makes science enjoyable and explains thing s in terms the lay person can understand. Matt also has the most accurate forecast BY FAR than even the prettiest or most seasoned Meteorologists. Funny and seems like a pleasant guy as well. I miss him on the morning news when I was able to count on a reliable weather report for the day. Understands New England's unique geography and weather patterns, to the point of even keeping mariners intelligently informed. In an area with some great Meteorologists and even the American Meteorological Society (which they all belong too across the conutry) right on Boston Common, we are lucky to have so many good prognosticators of daily climbe, but my stong vote is NECN offers the best weather and Matt would take the lead there.
