    CrossFit City Line

I joined Crossfit City Line just over a year ago and the experience has been life changing. I am turning 40 years old and have never really been in shape at any point in my life. Needless to say, I was initially pretty intimidated starting, not being able to run a mile or do a proper squat. However, the community at City Line made me feel immediately at home and no one seemed to judge me despite me consistently putting the lightest weight on the bar out of anyone taking the class (including the two women who were visibly pregnant). Under Mat and the rest of the coaching staffs’ watchful eyes, I learned the core techniques, developed strength, and lost thirty pounds. When I started, I could sort of complete a single pull-up. After a year at City Line, I completed Murph (including, among other things, running two miles and doing 100 pull-ups), my first 5K, and a series of legless rope climbs. Most importantly, I have done this all while avoiding the injuries that invariably accompanied previous attempts at fitness (outdoor bootcamp, running, etc). In fact, my chronic shoulder and foot injuries that plagued my tennis game have disappeared over the last year. Mat and Jenna should be proud of the community they have brought together and I give this gym my highest recommendation.
