Zane Alcantara has been my Personal Trainer at Healthworks since May 2016 and I highly recommend him.
Zane continually helps me identify key opportunities with my fitness goals; taking into consideration my personal history. He modifies the planned activities accordingly as my strength and balance levels change; and always comes into each of our sessions with a different exercise routine plan. On average; we have two sessions a week, and it never ceases to amaze me each session offers something new in variety; whether it is in strength or conditioning training. He is always challenging me to be my best; and is a perfectionist when it comes to making sure I only use the right form and physical stance as we work through each of the machines or routines; reducing the potential for physical risks.
He demonstrates strong professionalism throughout each of our sessions; has excellent listening, language and verbal skills. As an example, if I am not connecting with an exercise related to a specific muscle action such as the “infamous” hamstrings; he will really listen and; tapping into his extensive knowledge of the human physiology take the extra time to help me find alternative exercise positions in which I might finally connect.
Zane knows, articulates and remains passionate about staying on top of current and best practices when it comes to fitness. Additionally, he demonstrates a respect in his dealings of fitness equipment and machines, interaction with his fellow colleagues, trainers and all of Healthworks clients. His great sense of humor and approachable manner plays an important role in creating a positive and encouraging environment at the gym; and I fully appreciate both his personable and professional style.
