Voting Home / Union Oyster House
Nominated for: BEST Chowdah BEST Raw Bar
The Union Oyster House is the oldest restaurant in Boston and the oldest restaurant in continuous service in the U.S. — the doors have always been open to diners since 1826. Since 1826, our Seafood Selections have always been prepared and served with the same commitment to freshness and quality that has made Union Oyster House an American Dining Tradition. Valet Parking is available Monday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. on. The fee is $12.00
Honestly, I am not even a big chowder fan, but I could make a meal out of their chowder and cornbread.

Best darn Cuppa Chowdah in Boston in the oldest restaurant/bar in the country! With a side of homemade cornbread Cabot's butter and their Colonial Ale. Wicked Good!!

So delicious, and always fun to take a guest here. Great to stop in for a bowl or cup and a brew on a cold day while out running errands!

Maybe it's too touristy and cliche, but this is still my favorite place to grab a bowl of chowdah and a cold beer. Grab a stool at the bar downstairs for quick, no-nonsense service.
