Tony and Olgo Russo's grandfather started the family business on farmland in Watertown just a couple of miles away from the present store: near the Rosary Academy on Lexington Street. "We stayed there until we moved in here around 1990", Tony says. "Our grandfather farmed the small farm he had there on Lexington Street until the mid-fifties. We mostly grew tomatoes, lettuce and beans."
Russo's has THE best breads, pastries, and produce. This is the freshest of the fresh. Every day is like walking into a heavenly cloud of culinary delights! Worst time to go is lunch time, give yourself an hour...the best time to go early morning. You will NOT be disappointed.
