Voting Home / Arts and Entertainment / Art Gallery / Out of the Blue Gallery
Nominated for: BEST Art Gallery
Out of the Blue Gallery began in the fall of 1996 through the inspiring efforts of Tom Tipton and a handful of artists. This group believed that artists should be nurtured on their creative path towards sharing their work with the public. Their primary goal was to ensure an enhancing and affordable experience for both the artist and the consumer. In the early days, art shows were held at downtown Boston lofts, but soon it was decided that the gallery needed a home. When a little blue storefront, somewhat resembling a seaside cottage, became available, the next incarnation of Out of the Blue was born at 168 Brookline Avenue, in Cambridge, MA.
