If I could afford it, this is where I'd be! I could just roll in and out of the best restaurants in Boston. I do miss the old school flavor that doesn't seem to be as prevalent anymore (the old ladies hanging out windows, the families set up on the sidewalk with their "tv trays," getting to practice my Italian...). There is so much history here, too. But best of all, it's a nirvana for places to hang out and its a safe area in the city.
Love the Mercado del Mare i.e. North End Fish. The "fish" ladies are awesome - fresh seafood, tasy pre-made dishes - and you've got to try their seaweed with a little kick - great with seared tuna)! Oh, they have sushi too - hand rolled, on-site!
