LUMIÈRE RESTAURANT is a unique and extraordinary dining experience offering sophisticated food in a simple, refined setting. Michael Leviton's cuisine combines classic bistro elements with modern cooking techniques. The name, Lumière, means "light" in French, and also refers to the Lumière brothers who invented cinema in France in the late 1800's. Michael Leviton thought it was the perfect name as the restaurant is located across the street from a West Newton Fine Arts Cinema , 5 miles West of Boston.
