Over the past 30 years, J.P. Licks has been serving homemade ice cream and other specialties in their nine Kosher-certified shops in and around Boston. Locally owned and operated, J.P. Licks has won many awards over the years for their intensely-flavored homemade ice cream and frozen yogurt. J.P. Licks has received over 300 “Best of” awards over the last 29 years including awards from Boston Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Boston Phoenix and The Weekly Dig. Known for their high quality, scrumptious treats and their knack for “treating people right”, J.P. Licks was named Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s “Small Business of the Year”.
In addition to their frozen creations, J.P. Licks roasts their own fair trade and organic coffee beans on-site at their Jamaica Plain store, which ensures the best and the freshest, full-bodied cup of coffee around. Delicious hand packed ice cream cakes as well as breakfast & ice cream sundae catering is also available.

Fresh Cucumber ice cream every July. I love it so much that I stock up at the end of the month and make it last as long as I can.

Try the Monthly Specials- they're fantastic and J P Licks only carries them for a limited time! I love the exotic flavors, such as Avocado and Hawaii Flower Power, but they usually carry some limited-edition flavors for less adventurous eaters.

Yes, they have many flavours and many locations. I love their Sam Adams Cream Stout concoctions THE BEST. I bought a whole pint of this stuff just so I didn't run out of it in one serving!

I've been eating JP Licks since 1986 and have yet to find an ice cream I like any bit as much. Soo creamy and never too sweet. The new Yogurt X is incredible, The El Diablo is worth going to Hell for, and the Coconut Almond Chip is unparalleled!! Three cheers for JP Licks!

Yeah, it's a chain and a little overpriced, but there just isn't anything like it. The frozen yogurt options are incredible and they have good coffee drinks, too.
