Welcome to Guitar Center Boston, where everyone shops for the latest in music gear, even intergalactic rockstars!
Opened in 1994, we were the first Guitar Center store to be launched on the East Coast, and have been proudly serving the greater Boston metropolitan area ever since. The store was originally located on 750 Commonwealth Avenue, but with the continued patronage of our loyal customers, we finally outgrew our old building, and moved to our current location 1255 Boylston Street, right next to historic Fenway! This exciting new multi-level store allows us to feature a large inventory, filled with the most requested musical gear, but still keeping that magical neighborhood music store vibe that our customers have come to love!
In this new location, we have added some great features to our already outstanding selection, and experienced sales staff. Come have your guitar tuned up and rocked out by Ernesto “Nesto” Hernandez, our outstanding in-house guitar repair technician, brought to us by the legendary Raritan Bay Guitar Repairs. Nesto specializes in all guitar set-ups, modifications, major repairs, and even restorations. He is also a trusted and certified warranty service for most of guitar manufacturers we carry! Instruments can be dropped off, and picked up 7 days a week during our normal business hours. For major guitar repairs and restorations, please call Nesto to schedule an appointment, so he can provide you with the best guitar service in Boston!
One exciting part of our store that we are very proud of is our GC Pro office! Over fifteen years ago, in our Boston store, PK Pandey focused his business on dealing high-end recording studios and international music artist, and coined the term GC Pro. Out of the servicing those particular equipment needs of that specialized clientele, an entire new division was created! Curious as to what P.K. does? Check out Alicia Key and Ann Mincieli’s new studio in New York City, Jungle City Studios! Yes, PK...
