Quick - why do you always find watermelons at weddings?
Because they canteloupe. OK, if you're still with us after that, you must really like watermelon, and today, August 3rd, is your day because it's National Watermelon Day!
In honor of this very serious holiday, you're in for a treat. To shine the light on summer's juiciest fruit, here are five places around Boston where you can find watermelon delicacies of all shapes, sizes, and alcohol contents.

Known as a hotspot for happy hour food specials and a great Sunday brunch, Masa in the South End features a Habanero Watermelon Margarita on their cocktail menu. Made with habanero infused lunazul resposado tequila, watermelon puree, and freshly squeezed lime juice, Jay C. thinks it's perfect for happy hour small plates or an amuse-bouche before your meal.

Conveniently situated feet from Fenway Park or the TD Garden, Boston Beer Works features an always-popular Watermelon Ale. Deb M. warns us to "wait until after Memorial Day for the Watermelon to show up" and legions of fans wait with good reason. Just ask John M., who thinks the watermelon beer is "wicked awesome" or Ann C. who thinks the "awesome watermelon beer with a huge watermelon slice in the summer" is "to die for."

Watermelon isn't just tasty in drinks. Vlora in Boston's Back Bay has a number of tasty appetizers, but it's the Watermelon and Feta Tidbit served with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and parsley that you'll want to try. Just ask Michelle-Kim L. who insists that you "check out their watermelon and feta bites!"

If you need to stock up on watermelon for a summer picnic or your daughter's soccer game, there's no better place in Boston to go than Russo's. Fittingly located in Watertown, Russo's supplies many of the city's best restaurants with produce, but it's also open to the public. Here's Nathan P.'s take plain and simple: "obscure Asian produce, cheap herbs, exotic fruits. They've got it all."

The Blue Room tucked away in the the 1 Kendall Square center is better known for their weekend brunch, but it's the nifty lunch grill that they roll out during the summer months that has our attention. The rotating menu keeps it simple with protein options, side salads, and of course, one of the best hot dogs in town. And yep, every plate is topped off with an old-fashioned slice of watermelon. If you're lucky you may find two on your plate!
