There are more than 700 permanent hands-on exhibits, plus Omni, Planetarium and Laser shows, as well as live presentations daily! The Museum also hosts several temporary exhibits each year, such as Mythic Creatures: Dragons, Unicorns and Mermaids.

History:
Established in 1830
Originally founded as the Boston Society of Natural History, the Museum of Science has developed into one of the world's largest science centers and continues to remain on the cutting edge of science education by developing innovative and interactive exhibits and programs that both entertain and educate.

The Museum's mission is to stimulate interest in and further understanding of science and technology and their importance for individuals and for society.
