Ace Wheelworks is on Elm Street right past the Shaw's Market in Porter Square. The store has three locations in the Boston area. We've frequented the store on Elm Street and it is a great shop. There are always tons of bike technicians in the back, and they're extremely helpful. Several times they've fixed a flat or tuned a chain for no charge. The shop is open 7 days a week, but can get extremely busy. Like most bike shops it's packed with inventory, so it's best to go off hours if possible. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 10AM-8PM, Saturday 9AM-6PM, and Sunday noon-5PM.
These guys are great. Go there or get less than the best advice in the city. All around too - mountain bikes, road, commuter and other specialty bikes. A real enthusiasts shop that isn't too overwhelmingly, ridiculously, expensive- I'm talking to you Belmont Wheelworks!!!
