  • Let's just say if I had an unlimited budget, I'd decorate my whole house from this place.

  • Again, what can I say? Why buy new trendy stuff that won't survive the test of time? The vintage furniture from this era (mid century modern) is gorgeous and crafted in a way that it will out live most of us. Dale, the owner, is a wood craftsman by trade and these pieces leave his shop in better condition than when they came in, often better than the stuff made today. Worth the investment.

  • Amazing ORIGINAL mid century american, danish and euro stuff by designers whose names you might not be able to pronounce but whose designs are just iconic and live long past the rise/fall of trends. If I could live in this store I might, except for the lack of stove and curtains. A great mix of vintage antiques and modern home goods. LOVE LOVE LOVE

  • From VINTAGE modern that looks as good as new to NEW modern that looks cool enough to be vintage, the Anderson clan at Abodeon are my go to for well crafted authentic pieces that help define my personal style. The value is in knowing you have a piece of furniture that will likely out live you and all of the trends, even if MCM is a current trend. Some of us were here first. ;) They have some pieces out of the average person's budget range and a surprising amount of pieces that shocked me at the ticket price as I gladly hand over my debit card, fearing a misprinted ticket that they might soon discover and mark up!

  • My favorite store in the Boston area.

  • They have expensive big-name designer stuff, but also some mid-list vintage that's well-made and beautiful, and which isn't exactly cheap but is an excellent value. Say, a non-famous designer Danish table for $500, instead of a famous-designer table for $4000.

  • Go there for gifts. Great combination of antiques and modern (if slightly unpractical) home goods.
